I think I can draw again.

Mon Aug 8, 2005, 1:14 PM
So... it looks like I'm starting to get back into producing pretty pictures.

Well... sorta pretty anyway.

But the point is that I decided to take the initiative, and motivate myself to get some CG'ing done. Having just done that 'Girl' sketch, I decided to have a go at picking up the old tablet again...

It's like a bicycle.. you never forget.

Except this bicycle has no brakes, only 1 wheel and I'm having to go through hoops of fire on the back of a moving elephant.

Still, I don't think I've tried doing this for so long that I'm quite happy with how its turning out. Here's a sneak preview, for the few followers that I have.

How Far I've Come

Went to the Latino Festival in South London the other day. The food, people, and the general vibe was great. I got excited when a friend said to me that they had some crazy rides there. So as I approached I saw this huge yellow crane with what looked like a bungee cord attached. I just had to go on that ride!

Turned out to just be a big yellow crane.

Stupid.

Anyway, should really have taken some photo's, since I had my camera with me, and there were TONS of people there, it would have made for some good stuff. Unfortunately, I meet up with some friends, and soon the light was fading and the alcohol flowing....

So photography got told to SHUT UP! ^_^

Next time, next time...

On the job note, I returned to that Greek Restaurant, that STILL hasn't opened, but on the plus note, the manager 'Surge' (or something very close to that!) remembered me from almost 2 weeks earlier, and knew that I was about to enquire about the jobs. He was optimistic that the place would open within the month, and let me know that it was likely that my services would be needed...

Good stuff! Weekend job to fund my life... and hopefully a new camera!

Cheers, bro. Thanks for the feedback! Are yah sure the 350D is for you? Tis a fine camera but I find it is very small for my tastes, and I don't exactly have giant lobster claw hands.

Hmm.... well I'm only used to the old P& S cameras (and mine a tiny Optio 30 as well) so I'm used to the small size...

Could you recommend anything slightly larger, with as good specs at the same price?

I'm seriously asking... its not meant to sound sarcastic!
